Just wondering why all of my previous notes on the list of foods I had a year or two back are now radically "demoted" in terms of Nutritional Rating? For example, Acana Pacifica used to be 93%, and now (Sept 2023) the same product is 77% - quite the drop!

My dog loved acana until they changed the packaging. Not clear on their website but the receipe is also different. My dog has been poorly since with upset stomach and sickness. She won't eat it now at all. Frustrating that website not clear and store also said it was exactly the same.

We are a bit short of money at the moment taking the hit from the shanghai lockdown so ordered this one. Its 20+ £s cheaper than orijen so thought I'd give it a go, its made by yhe same makers of orijen so was not too worried because my spaniel eats anything. Actually she won't eat it. I thought it was because of the hot weather. But its loads cooler now. I thought if I don't back down she will eat it because it's all there is. Its been 7 days of just eating enough to get by. Wish I hadnt ordered such a big bag. But the small bags aren't good value for money.

all of this variety have changed ingredients and now have an unnamed “fish oil” and “lake fish” in it and they’ve taken the chondroitin and glucosamine levels off. i think the nutrient panel has also slightly changed. they recently did this to the general “adult dog line” and didn’t tell anyone, when i emailed they didn’t seem bothered, which is odd for champion, who know any change in recipe should be told in advance to dog owners. thought you should be aware

Would this diet be good for a pug? He is 7kg want to give him the best. Recently his skin has become all red and itchy. Seen that this is hypoallergenic. Just not too sure on the carbs and fat though. Any recommendations would be fantastic.

FRESH & RAW, THE ACANA WAY!
FRESH: Our fresh ingredients meet the AAFCO standard: REFRIGERATION AS THE SOLE METHOD OF PRESERVATION.
RAW: AAFCO offers a variety of raw definitions, we use only one; OUR RAW INGREDIENTS ARE AS OUR FRESH, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THEY ARE FROZEN.

Hi Dana. Acana does use a lot of fresh ingredients but it then extrudes them to form a dry biscuit. You can find more information on extrusion and other forms of pet food here: https://www.allaboutdogfood...
