This is odd, a few years ago this was rated much higher than 91% and I see no great changes in the composition, and since then they have implemented an audit chain for all ingredients to make sure that none of the raw meat ever gets too warm and stays safe for dogs to eat. So why the move down the rankings?

Has almost 70% of dry matter protein! That’s too much. Unless it’s a very active working dog, I wouldn’t advise. Specially with a dog with kidney or liver disease

My dog has stage 1 ckd. This food seems low in phosphorus, is it suitable for him? Any advice would be appreciated

hi my little dog is 1yr old and a very fussy eater she will not eat kibble since she stayed with a friend who kindly gave her scrambled eggs and such treats. I am vegan so find the smell and messing with raw meat impossible.at the moment I am trying her on Natures Variety lamb flavour but I don't know if this will last she eats but does not relish it could you advise me please?

Hi please could you advise if this is for only working dogs
Team AADF Donna Cattell 3 years ago
Hi Donna. The short answer is no, this can also be fed to pet dogs. For the long answer, check out our post here: https://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/dog-food-terms/0002/working-dog-food

Wow, that’s amazing - I can’t believe I didn’t know that. Thanks for posting this article link! Also, it shows how stupid some of the VAT rules are.
